An Idea for Channel V
The North East is full of gifted guitarists. Launch a Heavy Metal Talent Hunt there. Put together a metal band with the available talent. And promote them bigtime with roadshows & music videos. There is a fat chance that we might end up discovering our first world class metal band. The payoffs for Channel V - greater viewership in North East & high voltage brand ambassadors.

may be not...coz hindi musics/channels are banned in many states. An anti-hindi sentiment is forced and is difficult for a non-chinki to survive there.
Infact shopkeepers keep hindi CDs inside an english cover.
Why should heavy metal be necesarily in Hindi?
if the channel itself is banned....how will they advertise for the talent hunt with hype and hoopla?
good question. don't have quickfix answers. but the talent hunt will be offline. so hopefully the locals will egg the militants to go easy on the ban because they'd like to watch their sons and daughters perform on national tv.
